Online Auction Terms & Conditions
Bidding & Payment Terms
- All items are sold "as-is" with no refunds offered. Descriptions are provided in good faith but are matters of opinion. Bidders are responsible for determining item conditions.
- A 15% Buyer's Premium will be added to all purchases for online bidding.
- Payment is required at auction conclusion via credit card, ACH, or wire transfer. Invoices over $1,000 must be paid by ACH or wire transfer unless the bidder has a 3-year buying history with us.
- Sales tax applies only to South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia residents.
Shipping & Pickup
- Shipping is handled by Meares Property Advisors at buyer's expense via FedEx or USPS. Shipping costs will be invoiced separately through Shipping Saint.
- For firearms, buyers must provide FFL information via fax to expedite shipping.
- Local pickup is available as an alternative to shipping.
- Items left unclaimed for over 30 days after bidding closes will be sold to cover storage fees with no refunds.
General Auction Rules
- All bidders must provide current name, address, phone number, and email address for communication purposes.
- The auctioneer has final authority on bidding disputes and advancing bids.
- Meares Property Advisors is not responsible for missed bids or technical issues during the auction.
- All sales are final. By placing a bid, the bidder accepts all auction terms.
Legal Considerations
- Unpaid balances incur a 2% monthly fee plus any collection costs, including attorney fees.
- All disputes will be handled in Greenville County, South Carolina.
- Day-of-auction announcements supersede all prior written, verbal, or electronic statements.
- Meares Property Advisors reserves the right to void auction results in case of technical malfunction and may refuse service to any person at their discretion.
